This business requires a lot of waiting.
Inspector Clouseau found out that THE MONSTORE, while it will be in Barnes and Noble stores, is actually slated for their Halloween holiday push. So, you might not see it there quite yet.
Therefore I am extending my “in the wild” contest to October 31. That gives you plenty of time to spot it out there!
While I have your attention, that Clouseau gif reminded me of one of my favorite movie jokes from The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
Clouseau (looking at dog): Does your dog bite?
Innkeeper: No.
Clouseau (reaching to pet dog): Nice doggie.
Dog: *snarls and snaps*
Clouseau: I thought you said your dog did not bite.
Innkeeper: That is not my dog.
.
Happy Friday, all!

Tara, I think Books-A-Million is connected with B&N…right? We have a nearby BAM and maybe I will see it there! Hope so and I’ll snap a pic there too.

Actually BAM is not part of the B&N family. They just happen to be selling nooks under a special agreement. The book is already being carried at BAM.

That, and “That was a priceless Steinway!” Clouseau: “Not anymore.”

Great joke! That’s kind of neat that B&N can use your book at Halloween, perhaps extra sales for you!!

I already purchased the book a while back from Barnes and Noble. But, did stop there this week just to check it out. Actually, Halloween might give it some momentum and it has a terrific cover!

Sorry, meant to say I bought the book on-line. And, checked to see if it was in the store because I’d like another copy.

Great idea Barnes and Noble…they must think its a great book to bring it in at holiday time! Great for their bottom line, and your too Tara! Hopefully your reward is sweeter now, knowing how frustrated you were just a few weeks ago…way to hang in there! : ) Congrats!

As others have said, hopefully that will boost your sales more successfully as it’s a great Halloween tie-in — though it’s too bad it isn’t there NOW!!
Thank you for that classic Clouseau — absolutely love The Pink Panther (love ANYTHING Blake Edwards did!)
I have seen The Monstore in the wild in Canada, but since we don’t have the same bookstore chains (no B&N, for example), I assume that doesn’t count.

Love the classic Inspector Clouseau joke! Also, my favorite Indie bookshop is reopening (in a smaller store) soon, so I’ll look for the Monstore there.

Tara, glad you said it wasn’t being released for a while. I keep getting disappointed every time I go in and it’s not there! lol
